These photographs belong to Robert Wenzel, whose father, Fred, helped build the Kinton Grange in 1917. Fred's parents, August and Martha Wenzel immigrated from Croatia in 1902, where they settled on a farm on Grabhorn Road in 1907. Martha and August appear in some of the pictures.
Robert Wenzel, the donor of these photos lives in Clackamas. His father Fred, and Uncle Joe grew up in the Kinton area, living on what is now - a hundred years later (2007) - the Grice Farm, just west of Grabhorn Road. Fred was a member and Grangemaster of the Sunnyside Grange #842 in the 1960's.
Many of these photos were printed ready for mailing as a postcard, which seems to have been common at the time.
